On January 2nd, f(x) directly uploaded their scanned autographs and notes onto their official homepage. Sulli even drew bunny ears in her message to acknowledge 2011 as being the ‘Year of the Rabbit’. However, what has caught the most attention was the absence of Amber’s autograph and message. Though puzzled over her continued absence, fans were still delighted with the sweet messages left by the group. Luna: Happy New Year everyone, and please give f(x) more love! The four members were given a mission to raise awareness of Korean culture and cuisine. During their homestay with a French family, the girls gave cooking lessons on kimchi pancakes and rice cake soup. Teams were divided into Vic-mom and Krystal (who tackled the kimchi pancakes), and Luna and Sulli for rice cake soup team. In the midst of cooking, Luna suggested, “Since it’s boring just cooking like this, how about we make it a battle? Our homestay family can be the judges of our food. The team that loses has to dance in front of the Eiffel Tower! How about it?” The rest of the members agreed and showed their determination in cooking the best dish possible. The dishes were then served to their homestay family’s mother and daughter, who both showed a positive reaction to Luna and Sulli’s soup, but seemed more enthusiastic about Krystal and Victoria’s pancakes. It was decided that the winner was Victoria and Krystal, leaving Luna and Sulli to carry out their end of the bet. Late at night, the team visited the Eiffel Tower and enjoyed Luna and Sulli’s comedic dance performance, despite Luna acting shy in the beginning. Luna even did a sexy dance while being introduced because MC Jang Yoon Jung recalled her being the “wave girl” from a past TV show. Victoria has also attracted a lot of attention by sharing her good and bad examples of cute charms. Yoon Jong Shin started giving a brief biography of Victoria, “Real name is Song Chi En, age 23. She’s the sole 20 year member of the group but has earned the nickname ‘absolute young’ because her and Krystal look like friends.” Since Victoria is Chinese, Shin Jung Hwan asked Victoria if she understood the meaning of the word ‘dong an (young).’ Then, Victoria started to show a myriad of her cute facial expressions. Yoon Jong Shin asked, “Victoria as a lot of cute charm. Show us please,” and then Victoria said, “Oppa!” in a cute tone along with a cutesy facial expression. Kim Ku Ra admitted, “She has merit,” upon seeing her charm. Later, Victoria did an impersonation of a cartoon character, BBo Ro Ro, voice and expressions and all, “Hi. I’m BBo Ro Ro~ I want to fly~.” Suddenly, the atmosphere of the set became quiet for about three seconds and then the members burst into laughter. Her flexibility smacks peoples’ faces as they watch in awe of her skills, which perhaps may be up-to-par with world record-breaking figure skater, Kim Yu Na. On this episode, she also displayed her tumbling skills, which is something that could not be easily done. Adding on, the f(x) members humorously shared, “Victoria also has a sleeping habit of stretching. One time, while she was sleeping, her leg was right next to her ear.” Meanwhile, the other members also showed off their various talents: Amber doing a dope rap to Eminem’s Lose Yourself, Sulli and Krystal dancing along to Britney Spears’ Womanizer, and Luna showcasing her powerful vocals through Ann’s One Sided Love and Whitney Houston’s One Moment in Time. After the introduction by the f(x) members, SHINee’s Onew, Key and Taemin popped out, surprising everyone. During the recording, SHINee’s Key revealed something interesting about Sulli, saying, “Sulli used to use me a lot during my trainee days.” He continued, “When I was a trainee, Sulli was a sunbae (due to the fact that she was a trainee before him). She used to order me around, making me bring a key for her.” During the recording, Sulli also revealed her diary. A video of of f(x) appearing on MBC news for an interview on 11th November has been the topic amongst netizens. Reason being that member Sulli was seen in a daze in the video. While member Luna was talking in the interview, she was seen with a dazed look and nodding away. Netizens have responded with, “Her daze look is so cute”, “She looks tired” etc.
