Girl Group f(x) member Krystal received good response from the fans after releasing her first solo single “Melody” recently. Krystal’s first solo “Melody” is a blend of bossanova feel, with a compelling and emotional arrangement, and also the lyrics which gave much charm to the song itself. On May 28th, the song was released online and it quickly went up to the top of charts on various portals. The next day, which is the 29th, the song grabbed the number 1 spot on the chart, followed by Wonder Girls “2 Different Tears” which ranked number 2. In the single album, Krystal and singer Tei also featured in a music drama “Melody Project” which was directed by Oh Jun Sung, who also directed various dramas like KBS 2TV “Boys over Flowers”, SBS ‘Goodbye my Princess’ and ‘My Girl’. He wrote the screenplay and took charge of the whole project. Director Oh Jun Sung said, “In the steps of love, Meeting(Andante), Feelings(Moderato), Love(Allegro), Misunderstanding(Vivace), Separation(Fermata) and Memories(Adagio), these six kinds of themes can be made into 6 different types of music. But i combined all six of them in this music drama and this is the very first time for Korea. After the release of mini album ‘NU ABO’, Krystal, who have been busy with the activities, stated that she respected the song a lot, “After the single was released, i felt happy about it” and also “the whole team were happy when they knew the song were liked by many, and once again, i feel thankful to the fans” , she said.
